The Perfect Going Home Outfit ? A Mom's Impression | Parenting ...

I spent entirely way too much time and tears finding the perfect going home outfit for my son. He was my first baby and I wanted everything to be perfect, especially the going home pictures. I remember searching store after store trying to find an outfit that would meet the expectations I created for myself. It was frustrating! Finding cute but not too cute baby clothes for boys is difficult. Finally, I found it?

? it was way too big! I cried at the hospital. It was my very first experience that I had no idea what I was doing. I bought a 0-3 month outfit because I thought the newborn looked too small. Rookie mistake! He eventually grew into the outfit and I have it tucked away for safe keeping.

My daughter was a totally different experience. I actually got her going home outfit from my mom. She bought it and I fell in love with it and decided that it was the one. This time it was a newborn size!

I have to say, little girls are so much more fun to find clothes for than little boys. I have so many outfits that I want to keep for Caroline.

I trust my children?s clothes to Dreft. My son had extremely sensitive skin when he was a baby and Dreft was one of the only detergents that didn?t break him out. His clothes stayed looking like new and they smelled perfect, just like a new baby should smell like. Needless to say, this time around I stocked up on Dreft. As soon as my first load of baby clothes was finished drying, all those memories came flooding back with just the smell. We all know how much laundry little babies go through, I am so thankful that I can wash my favorite items repeatedly and have them look as good as new, making all the stress of finding the perfect outfit totally worth it!

Whether you?re a first timer or the greatest, grandest mother of them all, there?s on thing moms have agreed on for over 75 years- Dreft makes your little one?s fabric feel as clean and soft as can be.

Do you have a favorite outfit you saved for your children? I would love to hear about it!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Dreft. As a part of this program I received the product, the opinions and text are all mine.
