Romney's Loss of Endorsement May Be His Campaign's Death Knell (ContributorNetwork)

[unable to retrieve full-text content]ContributorNetwork - COMMENTARY | In my discussions with friends and acquaintances in recent months about the 2012 Republican presidential race, I have often been almost defiantly adamant that former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was a lock to win. I have maintained this attitude for months, through every anti-Romney surge. And as challenger after challenger surged and faded away, I was proven right. And when Newt Gingrich appeared to be emerging as a real and considerable challenger after his victory in South Carolina, my confidence went so far as to accept a wager (not for $10,000, but a wager all the same) that Romney would win.
